SHIFT
The mountains may shift, and the hills may be shaken, but my faithful love won’t shift from you, and my covenant of peace won’t be shaken, says the Lord…
Isaiah 54:10
SHIFT refers to Shifting into faith. We serve students in 6th grade to 12th grade. 1 Timothy 4:12 says “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.” Teens are a gift and privilege to work with and they are the future of our church. There are 4 main things we strive to accomplish at SHIFT.
- Every student that enters our space will hear the Gospel.
- SHIFT is a safe place for students to come and be themselves.
- To prepare students to leave us and influence culture instead of culture influencing them. That they have a secure identity in Christ and the knowledge that they are loved, and have a church family that has their back.
- Students would develop and nurture a real and personal relationship with Jesus, not their parent’s faith, not their youth leader’s faith, but an authentic relationship with Jesus.
SHIFT meets Thursday evenings 6:30pm-8:00pm in the basement youth room for worship, Bible Study, games and fellowship.
In addition to our weekly meetings we have an annual retreat, service projects, small group time (6th gear), and monthly social hang outs such as movie nights, bonfires, boating/beach days, mini golfing, ultimate frisbee and so much more
