Title: Hearing the Word of God
Text: Luke 8:1-21
Thesis: To become a close disciple of Jesus one must hear the Word of God with a good heart, hold on to it, and persevere in doing it.
Outline:
1. Close disciples hear the Word and bear fruit in their lives (vv.4-15).
2. Close disciples receive the Word and keep on receiving it (vv.16-18).
3. Close disciples not only listen to the Word but obey it (vv.19-21).
